The primary focus of our practice is Community Architecture, assisting our clients with projects that serve the best interests of our society. Our portfolio is dominated by work for Non-Profit Organizations, educational institutions, small municipalities, historic facilities, rural medical clinics, senior centers, services for the homeless, and the like -- organizations whose work likewise benefits the Community. We maintain long-term relationships with most of our clients -- some dating back more than 20 years -- covering multiple phases of work, and a myriad of services related to new construction, additions, renovations and remodeling.
In concert with our focus on Community Architecture, environmental responsibility is inherent in every project that we undertake -- not to accumulate points or tax credits, but because we believe that we owe nothing less to our progeny. Maximum reuse of existing structures and materials, specification of enduring and recyclable components and systems, coexistence with natural cycles and patterns, are hallmarks of our approach to planning and design, and the underpinnings to every project. The vast majority of our projects involve the typical design-through-construction process, with services encompassing Programming through Construction Closeout. We have been recognized for not only our responsive and creative designs, but also the detailed accuracy of our Construction Documents, and our acute knowledge of construction systems and procedures, resulting in tight bids and a phenomenally low rate of construction changes. Our predisposition is toward design solutions that are exuberant, playful, articulate, colorful, and sunlit. We offer and frequently provide our clients a wide range of other assistance and special services, which may include the following:
